Educational institutes are not much as compared to the need of the large population of the village. Four primary schools and two middle schools are in the village. Middle school is currently in Sarvasima village. Public schools (Secondary and Sr. Secondary) owned and operated by private parties are in Jhanjharpur and the students of the village, whose parents can afford the cost of the education, used to study in those schools. High School where the students of this village used to study is in Jhanjharpur and a College named L N Janta College, Jhanjharpur is also place of higher education for the village. Apart from this SNM College, Bhairav Sthan situated at around 5 kms from the village is also place of higher education for the students of this village. It is noteworthy that SNM college was founded by one of the renowned person of Naruar Village. Further to graduation, students go for PG and other courses to L N Mithila University Darbhanga and Kameshwar Singh Sanskrit University, Darbhanga. Traditionally this village has been the place of intellectuals famous for their vast knowledge, wisdom and simplicity with high vision. A few of them were rewarded and awarded by the Maharaja of Darbhanga in old time. In the decades of sixties and seventies a few bright students glorified the name of the village in the Bihar State Secondary Board and L N Mithila University. In recent times also meritorious students are performing well. Therefore, it can be said that the tradition of learning is still carried forward by the generations and will continue in the future. It is an area of concern that more quality educational institutes are required to be founded and established in light of the requirement of the village.

Lohna Pathshala was the main educational institute in the area for the traditional learning in Sanskrit medium, till recent past. It is situated in Lohna village, approximately 3 kms far from Naruar. This institute remained the premier institution of learning for at least 100 years till recent past and produced great scholars renowned for their intellectual wisdom, expertise in the subject and knowledge.
