The people of the Village are very peace-loving and there is harmonious relationship between all communities and class. Major population is of Hindus. Most people believe in theism and have strong roots in traditional values. Main Community Festivals celebrated in the village are Saraswati Puja, Mahashivratri, Holi, Ramnavami, Janki Puja, Juir Sheetal (popularly known as Baishakhi in other parts of India), Janmashtami, Durga Puja (Goddess Durga’s worship during October-Nov. Month), Eid, Muharram (Tajia ………..), Deepawali and Chhath. Durga Puja Samiti is the main cultural organisation of the village. Durga Puja is celebrated as a village festival and almost all classes and communities participate in this celebration directly or indirectly. Cultural programmes are being organised for the entertainment of the villagers. Durga Puja Samiti is involved in other cultural and developmental activities of the village and from eighties onwards this organisation has maintained and sustained its reputation due to its honest leadership and transparency in working pattern. It has typically developed and sustained its revenue generation system for its expenditures and developmental activities. Durga Sthan is the situated in the eastern side of the village is the centre of the activities of this organisation. A grand Durga Mandir unique in the area for its architectural design and beauty is under construction in the premises of Durga Sthan.

This village has strong roots in cultural activities like organising and playing drama on the occasion of festivals. Its drama was renowned and popular as one of the best cultural programmers. Purity and perfection was its motto along with entertainment with a message to the society. Drama based on the classical Sanskrit books like Venisanhar, Jayadrath wadh etc. were played with pure and perfect manner and the role players chanting and talking fluently in Sanskrit language. An organisation named Tarun Manch was involved in the activities of social reform programmes through cultural activities and other methods in the decades of sixties & seventies. Its centre of activity was Janki Sthan and it was the centre of cultural activity of Naruar till seventies. Apart from this Durga Sthan, Sarvaseema was also the place of cultural activity. In Durga Sthan, Sarvseema, during Durga Puja day time was allocated for the performance of classical musicians and singers, evening was allocated for the drama, played by the renowned actors of the area and in the night Alha Udal, Khokhwa Nach (Dance Drama) was performed. It indicates the entertainment for all the strata of the society. Maithily, enlisted in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, is the main language spoken in the area and Hindi is the language also used to communicate from outsiders. Madhubani Painting is the part and parcel of decoration, during all traditional functions like Mundan, Upnayan and Marriage of the people. Vidyapati Geet (song written by the Great Poet and writer Vidyapati Thakur) is being sung by the residents on the occasion of the functions. A few years back the village had the tradition of wrestling and many renowned wrestlers were famous for their wrestling strength and skill.
