“Naruar, a village, full of natural beauty, located on the western banks of the Kamla-Balan River is home to 2197 families. Its total population according to the 2011 census was 9691. ‘NH: 57- a Six Lane Expressway’ links the village with rest of the nation. It passes through the northern side of the village whereas the erstwhile national highway 57 is on its southern side, and connects it to Jhanjharpur, a sub-divisional head quarter. Naruar is one of the largest villages of Madhubani District, third in population and fourth in area, is full of scenic beauty and known for its abundant water reservoirs. These orchards till recent past were full of life during mango fruit ripening season. Apart from the natural beauty, Naruar is the village of ponds. Starting from Kummari, Karji, Garhiya ponds in the north, Purandaha, Usraha, Mohthi ponds in the east, ‘Mishrak Pokhari’ (pond) and ‘Maharaji’ ponds in the south and Bideshwar pokhari (pond) in the west encompasses the village from all the directions and makes the place more special.
